This Saturday, comic book stores across the nation will be giving away a free comic book in honor of free comic book day. Many comic book stores also ask different costuming organizations to attend in costume. My hubby is a member of the Rebel Legion* and I am in the process of joining** and we will both be in costume as pictured above on Saturday at a comic book store in the Milwaukee area. Saturday is also May the 4th which is also Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you).
*The Rebel Legion is a Star Wars costuming organization that does charity and kids’ events. It consists of the “good guys” from Star Wars. There are other Star Wars costuming organizations including the more well-known 501st Wisconsin Garrison (the dark side of the force). **Right now I share part of his Rebel Trooper costume (the helmet and blaster) and that is not allowed for members to do so once my helmet is finished and I purchase a blaster, I can resubmit my application.
